Colleges team up for high-flying opportunity
BELL CO., Ky (WYMT) - A high-flying opportunity for college students in Southeastern Kentucky.
Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College will team up with Eastern Kentucky University's Aviation Program, to provide students a unique opportunity.
In conjunction with the Middlesboro-Bell County Airport, students can now take steps toward being pilots, without leaving Middlesboro.
"They can start and earn their Aviation Technology degree without leaving home, and finish it up online, with EKU,” said Lynn Moore, President of Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College.
"We can certainly transform Kentucky into the state of choice for anyone who wants to do aviation education and get their certificate,” said Ralph Gibbs, Director of Aviation at EKU.
Students can begin the programs as early as this month, with the bi-term, which starts mid-October, at Southeast.
