ACTC and EKU team up to offer aviation degree

ACTC and EKU are launching a new cooperative venture this fall that will prepare graduates for careers as pilots in the aviation industry.

Students in the program will take their basic academic requirements through ACTC to earn an associate degree and then transfer to EKU and take the remaining courses for the aviation degree on line.

In the meantime, they will take flight instruction at the airport in Worthington in one of EKU's planes.

When they graduate they will have 250 hours of flight time, certification as instructors and provisional eligibility to be hired as pilots by regional airlines once they accumulate more flying hours, which they can do as instructors.
