EKU forges partnerships and friendships in China

l-r: Dr. Deyun Chen, Dr. Chuntao Man, Vice President Junfeng Wu, Dr. Guoyi Xiu,

During the Christmas season of 2013, a delegation from the Harbin (China) University of Science and Technology (HUST) made a trip to the U.S. to visit the EKU College of Business and Technology (CBT).

Their trip was in response to a visit by Dr. Robert Rogow, Dean of CBT, Dr. Chang-Yang Lin, professor of computer information systems, and Mr. Ralph Gibbs, Director of Aviation, the previous year to establish strategic EKU partnerships in China.

While in the US, the HUST delegation was given a tour of the state capitol and met with the EKU leadership concerning next steps in the EKU/HUST partnerships.  As a final request, the delegation requested a personalized EKU Aviation shirt with our wings of gold and airport logo.

Our guests arrived as visiting dignitaries from China and left as Honorary “1000-hour power” Kentucky Colonels.
