EKU assumes management of Madison Airport
Eastern Kentucky University assumed management of the Madison Airport on Monday.
Jason Bonham, a former instructor in EKU’s aviation program, was introduced as manager Tuesday to the airport board during its monthly meeting, said Dr. Wilma Walker, who chairs the board.
Bonham graduated from EKU in 1999 and was a flight instructor for the university’s aviation program from 2001 to 2003. In more recent years, he worked as a corporate pilot and as aviation manager for a Lexington company, he said. In that capacity, he was responsible for a corporate jet, a helicopter and two airplanes, one a turboprop.
