EKU Aviation is 'on the road' so to speak with a fly-in to Henderson City-County Airport (KEHR). The public use airport, located in western Kentucky, hosted its June Fly-in this week.

Friday, May 12, was a special day for EKU Aviation seniors. The largest Aviation graduating class in nearly a decade joined a college-wide ceremony to receive their diploma covers and take their place among Eastern Kentucky University's newest alumni.

EKU Aviation students recently attended the 2017 Annual Southeast Chapter Conference of the American Association of Airport Executives held in Knoxville, Tenn., from April 23-25, 2017. Attendees include: Dustin Wittman, Nate Schattner, Maggie Smith, Tyler Meredith, Jennifer Chilton, Jacob Pierce, Adam Ackerman, Cameron Sidor, Rebecca Schmid, Justin Graham, Samuel Cleary, and Mike Smith.

EKU Aviation Students Earn Prestigious Corporate Internship

The sky is the limit for two Eastern Kentucky University Aviation students, Sam Elliott and Horace Hunter. Both were granted internships with Ward/Kraft Inc. Ward/Kraft, Inc. is a nationally known leader in the design and production of labels, plastics, Commercial print, mailers and Business documents including continuous, unit set, cut sheet, labels and form/label combinations.

Three aviation students were recently selected as recipients of the Southeast Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives/Southeastern Airport Manager’s Association (SEC-AAAE/SAMA) Scholarship, an award valued at $2,000 per student.
